40K DROP POD NULN OIL SKIN

The skin is even a little red in those areas. My fingers ache, the skin sensitive like when I’ve been in an overly chlorinated pool for too long. Worse, I found it irritates the hell out of my skin when kneaded so long. I re-kneaded the mix again after removing any excess flour and washing it with water. I didn’t notice it at first and rolled out several very thin sheets only to then see them, those damn dirt yellow chunks. The result looked really green and the consistency was very malleable when warmed by rolling in my palms. Seriously, I listened to some music, enjoyed 3-4 songs, had a discussion with my wife… I had kneaded the mixture for at least 10 minutes. Worse though were the bits of yellow debris still present in the material. While the results were not as messy as with oil, there were other issues including an uneven surface texture caused by small build-ups on the Exacto shaft that I used as a rolling pin. The first time I attempted to make banners, I used cooking oil to coat the surface and tools with. I’ve got a custom Dark Angels successor chapter I need to finish someday the Abyssal Guard, several figures of which need banners. Tonight was my second attempt to try and sculpt with the Stuff. Finally I used mephiston red on eyes and black to clean up base. The reason I couldn’t try it out tonight, more Green Stuff banners. I’m going to try the hairspray paint-chipping method for the first time. I’ve already begun to airbrush on a rust lair and will post some of those images later. I used masking tape to mask off the areas where they would touch so as not to compromise the fit. I don’t feel the need to magnetize it since it fits perfectly snug when inserted. I also left the turret as a separate piece so I can rotate it on the finished model. There’s a book rope-tied to the front of the vehicle where I plan to pen some litany damning those about to be impaled on the dozer blade. I added a few bits from my bit box to give the Razorback some personal flair for my Dark Angel’s successor chapter, the Abyssal Guard. It’s been unused for a year and was easily revived with some warm water and stirring. I abandoned that and went back to GW’s Liquid Green Stuff. Sanding it in hard to reach crevices was just not going to happen no matter what tool I seemed to use. It gums up quickly and seems difficult to spread evenly, especially in tight areas. I tried using Tamaya modeling putty for the first time and hated it. I just finished building my Abyssal Guard’s Razorback and am ready to paint it. Today is my birthday so I took the day off work to go hiking with my wife as well as get some work done on several projects that have been lingering for a while now.
